The Project Manager's Toolkit: Project Initiation and Planning

Explore the methods, tools and techniques used to initiate and set a project on a course toward success. Establish measurable project goals and discover the steps necessary to engage stakeholders, gather requirements, define project scope, and build the plan against which the project will be executed. Learn techniques for planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, communications, human resources and quality management. Focus on the need to build a plan that best meets the needs of the project and aligns with organizational and stakeholder needs.

Note: Microsoft® Project 2016 is introduced as a scheduling and budgeting tool and is required for assignments. However, this course does not provide training on how to use the software. Prior experience with using Microsoft Project is highly recommended.
