Practice thinking like a Project Manager by taking on the challenge of a project that needs professional help! Built around a case study, the Applied Project Management course places you in the role of a newly hired Project Manager who has been brought in to rescue a project that is already in trouble. Analyze the root cause of the problems, develop a recovery plan and map out strategy to get the project back on track. Drawing together themes from the prior courses, this capstone course will be used as a platform to get you thinking about the practicalities of applying Project Management principles to a typical project. Requiring you to think about people, processes, leadership and business strategy, this course will focus the learning on what it takes to make a real project a success.

Earn 48 education hours/PDUs.

This course can be applied to the UBC Certificate in Project Management Online.

Course Format

The format of this course is online. Prior to 4pm PST on the start date of the course, an email will be sent to all registered students containing instructions on how to access the online Learning Management System.
