1. Review StrongerBC Future Skills Grant (FSG) criteria to make sure you are eligible.
Assess & Select Program
2. Assess whether the following grant eligible UBC Sauder CBS programs are the right fit for you:
- On Sauder CBS program web pages, read ‘Who Should Attend’ section to decide whether your qualifications align with the program target audience.
- Determine whether your program choice(s) requires tuition beyond the $3500 grant. If so, plan how you will pay for any remaining amount not covered by the grant (i.e. UBC employee tuition waivers, other PD funding, or by Visa/Mastercard)
- Confirm program delivery modes for the program: live online*, online, or blended*. *Check your availability for published class times.
- Watch this video to learn more about the delivery modes and what to expect in your course
- Choose from options in the certificate program: an individual course, a selection of courses in the certificate program, course packages, or a bootcamp.
- Check program webpages to see if seats are still available in your chosen program.
- If your program choice(s) is full, complete your grant application and join our waitlist.
- Read our student handbook before filling out your application to understand our program policies and procedures.
Complete Application
3. Complete the StrongerBC FSG application on the UBC Sauder CBS website.
- Type in specific course names, i.e. Project Management Fundamentals. Or,
- Specify a bootcamp, i.e. Product Management Bootcamp.
- Complete the declaration section on the UBC Sauder CBS website application form.
- Indicate the start date(s) of the program.
- Create a UBC Sauder CBS student account.
- If available, please enter your Personal Education Number (PEN) in the designated field on your application.
- Ensure that you enter your SIN in the profile of your Sauder CBS student account. Your SIN is required to complete your FSG application.

4. Check your inbox for UBC Sauder CBS ‘FSG Next Steps’ email.
- Monitor for CBS email updates.
- Watch carefully for a waitlisted email should programs become full.
- Complete remaining balance payment requests, if applicable.
- Look for an email confirming enrollment.

5. Receive your Program Access Email & Start your Course
- Look for a Program Access Email to secure your credentials and access your program.
- Review your curriculum and engage in your program as required
