Whether you are an experienced project manager, or a business professional leading your first project, the award winning UBC Certificate in Project Management improves your ability to deliver mission critical work on time and on budget.

Students can select from three delivery format options to suit their schedule:

Classes for the full-time intensive and part-time core programs are held at UBC Robson Square in downtown Vancouver.

The UBC Certificate in Project Management is available in three formats to suit the needs of different learners. All three versions develop a career-enhancing skill set using a combination of lectures, readings, interactive small-group work, discussions and team projects.

Created for those with full-time job responsibilities, the core program is delivered in a part-time classroom format over three months. You complete the core program as a group, and then select specialization courses.

Specializations: Strategic Leadership, Business Analysis, and Agile Leadership. The curriculum consists of a core program of face-to-face sessions with assignment/team project work completed outside of class.

Created for those who have the opportunity to participate full-time, the program is delivered over three months in face-to-face seminar and computer lab environments with most assignments/team project work completed in class. You take part in a structured learning experience in teams as well as develop essential skills in MS Project, leadership, and business processes and analysis. Created for those who want a flexible learning environment, the curriculum is presented in six 100% online courses: Project Management Fundamentals; PM Toolkit: Project Initiation and Planning; PM Toolkit: Project Execution, Control and Closing; Essential Skills in the Project Environment; Teamwork in the Project Environment, and Applied Project Management. The online program includes individual and team assignments/projects.

Program Fees

The total tuition fee for the core program is C$6,400 payable in two installments.

The total fee for the specialization ranges from $2,865 - $5,500 depending on the specialization and courses selected.

The total tuition fee for the full-time intensive program is C$9,850, payable in two installments. Earlybird tuition discounts may be available for the full-time certificate program only.

The total tuition fee for the 100% online program is C$8,250* ($1,250 - $2,000 for each course) plus a non-refundable administration fee of $200.

*Book fees are not included in the tuition fee.

Payment Options

Core program: a non-refundable deposit of $2,000 is due upon acceptance into the program, and the balance of $4,400 is due one week prior to the start of the core program.

Specialization: fees are paid on a course-by-course basis.

A non-refundable deposit of $2,000 is due upon acceptance into the program, and the balance of $7,850 is due one week before the first day of class. Full-time students may also be eligible for student loans. View student funding.

The $200 non-refundable administration fee is payable upon acceptance into the program.
